Susan Lovelace

Specialist Service Director

Susan qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1989 and enjoyed extensive career in complex trauma and accident and emergency nursing at St Thomas' Hospital, London. A passionate advocate for outstanding patient care, Susan is dedicated to supporting patients in achieving the best quality of life. One of her main aims is to be a voice for patients, helping them reach their life goals.

Susan specialised in spinal nursing for a large private provider, focusing on the rehabilitation of veterans. As a ward manager, she moved with the unit to Stoke Mandeville Hospital. She completed the ENB spinal injuries course and became involved in teaching and mentoring student nurses.

Susan has held various management roles, including a regional position managing Acquired Brain Injury Units for Huntercombe and an operational role at St Andrew's Healthcare for adolescents with mental health concerns and learning disabilities.

She has also served in senior roles, such as Head of Care and Operations for Elizabeth Finn Homes Ltd and COO for a healthcare company. Susan's most recent role involved completing Disability Impact Assessments, conducting demographic research, and advising on the Equality Act and its implications. Susan completed an LLB (Hons) degree at Oxford Brookes in 2005 and an MBA in 2009.

Outside of work, Susan enjoys theatre, ballet, reading, and is actively involved with Amnesty International.

Business Development Manager

Alastair White has extensive experience in neurorehabilitation and is dedicated to ensuring individuals, families, and care commissioners receive expert guidance when seeking specialist neurological care.

As Business Development Manager at Hamberley Neurocare, Alastair plays a key role in supporting families and professionals through the referral and admissions process. He understands the complexities involved in accessing specialist rehabilitation and works closely with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition into care.

Alastair has a deep understanding of the neurorehabilitation sector and the evolving needs of those living with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, stroke, and progressive neurological conditions. His expertise enables him to provide clear, informed advice, helping families and commissioners make the best decisions for those in need of care.

Committed to building strong relationships, Alastair works collaboratively with healthcare professionals, commissioners, and case managers to ensure seamless service pathways and positive outcomes for residents.

Dr Jonathan Mamo

Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine

Dr Mamo is the clinical lead for Neurological Rehabilitation at the Royal Berkshire and West Berkshire Community Hospital. Dr Mamo supports patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and neurodegenerative diseases.

Dr Hamid Sultan

Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine

Dr Hamid Sultan has extensive expertise in managing acute and chronic neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), and neurodegenerative disorders.

He is a Consultant in Neurological Rehabilitation at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and provides specialist guidance to residents and staff at Hamberley Neurocare Camberley.

Dr Lizzie Griffet

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Lizzie Griffett is a highly qualified Clinical Psychologist with a robust background in mental health care. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Leicester, where she focused on evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Dr Griffett has extensive experience working with diverse populations across various settings, including hospitals, community clinics, and private practice. Her areas of expertise encompass cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and trauma-informed care.

At Hamberley Neurocare Southampton, she is dedicated to providing personalised psychological assessments and interventions, helping residents navigate challenges and enhance their quality of life. Dr Griffett's compassionate and person-centred approach ensures that each individual receives tailored support in a safe and understanding environment.

Kirsty Page

Therapy Development Manager

Kirsty Page is a Registered Occupational Therapist with extensive expertise in Neurological Rehabilitation, complex care and progressive neurological conditions.

She has a special interest in Huntington’s Disease, having developed Occupational Therapy guidelines and clinical tips for OT’s working with people with Huntington’s Disease for the European Huntington’s Disease Network. As Therapy Development Manager, Kirsty supports our Therapy teams to ensure delivery of high quality, evidenced based Therapy which support residents’ goals and provides measurable outcomes.

Richard Clark

Home Manager

Richard joins Hamberley with a wealth of experience in operational and strategic management in specialist healthcare services. A registered Occupational Therapist with 27 years’ experience working with male, female, adolescent and older adult services including learning disability, neuropsychiatry, autistic spectrum disorder, mental health and personality disorder ranging from medium security through to community houses.

He is commercially aware having developed a number of new services, been instrumental in service re-design and established new pathways of care across multiple sites. He has successfully managed and developed large multi-professional teams and is committed to high quality patient-centred care.

Richard has worked closely with commissioners, regulatory bodies and peer reviewers to monitor and continuously improve standards of care, turning around a number of services with low CQC ratings.

Tasa Zilic

With over a decade of experience in healthcare management and nursing, Tasa Zilic specialises in complex nursing and neuro rehabilitation since 2018. As the Registered Manager at Hamberley Neurocare Southampton, Tasa brings extensive expertise to the field of healthcare management. She began her career as a paramedic and A&E coordinator, gaining invaluable insights into acute care settings before transitioning into a leadership role focused on long-term rehabilitation.

Prior to joining Hamberley Neurocare, she enhanced and developed neuro rehab services across various settings. Tasa's passion for complex nursing and rehabilitation has been the driving force behind her career, fuelling her commitment to delivering exceptional care and driving continuous improvement. At previous services, she managed a significant transformation, transitioning a regular nursing home into a renowned centre for high-complexity neuro rehabilitation care.

Tasa's steadfast dedication to advancing patient outcomes and service excellence underscores her role as a leader in the healthcare community. This specialist branch of complex nursing and neuro rehabilitation is especially rewarding for Tasa as she witnesses and supports individuals through their toughest journeys in life, nurturing resilience and empowerment along the way.
